Receiving FaceTime Calls on Your iPad
Answering a FaceTime Call
When a FaceTime call comes in, you’ll see an incoming call notification. You can:
- Answer the call: Drag the slider to the right or tap “Accept” or “Join.”
- Decline the call: Tap “Decline” or the red decline button.
- Schedule a call back: Tap “Remind Me.”
- Send a message to the caller: Tap “Message.”
If you’re already on a call when a new FaceTime call comes in, you’ll see an “End & Accept” option. Tapping this will end your current call and connect you to the new one.
Tip: You can enable Siri to announce incoming calls, allowing you to answer or decline them with voice commands.
Listening to Video or Audio Messages
- Missed Video Calls: If someone leaves a video message, you’ll receive a notification. Tap the notification to view the message. You can also find the video message link in your call history, below the missed call entry.
- Missed Audio Calls: If you have Live Voicemail enabled on your iPhone (with the same Apple ID as your iPad), callers can leave voicemail messages when you miss their calls.
Note: To receive video messages, the caller must be a saved contact, someone you’ve called, or someone suggested by Siri.
Deleting a Call from Your Call History
- Open the FaceTime app.
- Swipe left on the call you want to delete.
- Tap the “Delete” button.
