Read Text and Labels with Magnifier
On supported models and for selected languages, you can use the Magnifier app to:
Read all text in view:
- Open the Magnifier app.
- Tap Detection Mode.
- Aim your camera at the text.
Point and speak interactive labels:
- Open the Magnifier app.
- Tap Detection Mode.
- Aim your camera at the labels.
- Point your finger at the label you want read.
Important:
- Detection Mode should not be relied on in high-risk or emergency situations.
- Accuracy may vary depending on language, lighting, and text clarity.
Tips:
- Customize pointing: In Detection Mode, tap Point and Speak to choose between “Under” (read text under your fingertip) or “Above” (read text above your fingertip).
By following these steps, you can easily access and understand text and labels around you using your iPad’s Magnifier app.
