Protect Your Eyes: Enable Sensitive Content Warnings on iPad

Want to safeguard yourself and your family from accidentally viewing explicit content on your iPad? Here’s how to activate Sensitive Content Warnings:

1. Navigate to Settings: Open the Settings app on your iPad.
2. Access Privacy & Security: Tap on “Privacy & Security.”
3. Enable the Warning: Toggle on “Sensitive Content Warning.”

Note: If you’ve set up Screen Time and enabled Communication Safety, Sensitive Content Warnings are automatically activated.

By enabling this feature, you’ll receive a prompt before viewing or sharing sexually suggestive images.

Make Stickers from Your Photos on iPad

Create Static Stickers

1. Open the Photo: Launch the Photos app and select the image you want to turn into a sticker.
2. Isolate the Subject: Tap and hold the main subject of the photo.
3. Add to Stickers: Release your finger and select “Add Sticker.”
4. Customize (Optional): Add a visual effect like Outline, Comic, or Puffy by tapping “Add Effect.”
5. Save: Tap “Done” to save your new sticker.

Create Animated Stickers from Live Photos

1. Open the Live Photo: Open the Photos app and select a Live Photo.
2. Duplicate the Subject: Tap and hold the moving subject and slide it upwards until a duplicate appears.
3. Add to Stickers: Release your finger and select “Add Sticker.”
4. Customize (Optional): Add a visual effect to your animated sticker.
5. Close the Menu: Tap anywhere outside the stickers menu to close it.

Delete a Sticker

1. Open the Photo: Open the photo containing the sticker you want to remove.
2. Enter Markup Mode: Tap “Edit” to access the Markup tools.
3. Access Stickers: Tap the sticker icon.
4. Remove the Sticker: Tap and hold the unwanted sticker, then select “Remove.”

Use Your Stickers

Once created, your stickers can be used in various apps like Messages, Photos, Notes, and more. Simply access your sticker menu and select the desired sticker to add it to your content.

Getting Started:

1. Open Freeform: Launch the Freeform app on your iPad.
2. Create a New Board: Tap the “+” button to start a fresh board.

Drawing and Handwriting:

1. Choose a Tool: Tap the pen icon to select a drawing tool. You can choose from various options like pen, pencil, marker, and more.
2. Start Drawing: Use your finger or Apple Pencil to draw or write directly on the board.
3. Adjust Settings: Tap on the selected tool again to customize its thickness, color, and opacity.

2. Edit Your Drawing: Once selected, you can resize, rotate, or delete the selected portion.
3. Snap to Shape: Use the Snap to Shape feature to straighten lines and curves.

Tips:

• Smooth Lines: Hold your Apple Pencil or finger steady for a moment to smooth out your strokes.
• Fill Shapes: Use the Fill tool to add color to closed shapes.
• Draw Straight Lines: Use the Ruler tool to draw precise lines.

Protect Your Eyesight with iPad’s Screen Distance

Staring at screens too closely can strain your eyes and even lead to poor eyesight, especially for younger users. iPad’s Screen Distance feature is here to help!

How it works:

• Smart Detection: iPad’s True Depth camera keeps an eye on how close you’re holding it.

What are Widgets?

Removing a Widget:

Viewing Widgets in Today View:

Swipe right from the Home Screen’s left edge to access Today View, where you’ll see a list of widgets.

Note: To view widgets on your Lock Screen, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode) and enable Today View.

Insert Hyperlinks in Notes on iPad

The Notes app on your iPad offers a versatile way to insert links to webpages and connect to other notes. Here’s how:

Linking to a Webpage

1. Open the Notes app on your iPad.
2. Select the text where you want to insert the link.
3. Tap “Add Link.”
4. Enter the URL of the desired webpage.
5. The selected text will now be a clickable link.

Alternatively:

1. Place the cursor where you want the link.
2. Tap “Add Link.”
3. Enter the URL and optionally a custom link name.

Linking to Another Note

Using the Note Title:

1. Place the cursor where you want the link.
2. Tap “Add Link” or type “>>”.
3. Enter the title of the target note.
4. Select the note from the list or create a new one.

Using Custom Link Text:

1. Select the desired link text.
2. Tap “Add Link.”
3. Enter the title of the target note.
4. Select the note from the list.

Automatic Link Creation

The Notes app can automatically detect and convert text like addresses, phone numbers, dates, and more into clickable links. Simply tap on the underlined text to perform actions like:

• Viewing an address in Maps
• Composing an email
• Making a phone call
• Scheduling a calendar event
• Converting units and currency
