If you’re concerned about potential speech loss or have a speech disability, you can create a personalized voice on your iPad. This voice can be used with Live Speech to help you communicate effectively in various situations, including FaceTime calls and assistive communication apps.

Here’s how to create your Personal Voice:

  1. Go to Settings: Open the Settings app on your iPad.
  2. Access Accessibility: Navigate to the Accessibility settings.
  3. Create a Personal Voice: Tap on “Create a Personal Voice” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note:

  • To pause and resume the recording process, tap “Done” and then “Continue Recording.”
  • You’ll need to set a passcode on your iPad to access the Personal Voice creation option.

Your Personal Voice, Your Privacy: Your personalized voice is securely stored on your iPad and can be used for:

  • Phone and FaceTime calls
  • In-person conversations
  • Third-party AAC apps

Important: Please use Personal Voice solely to create a voice that sounds like you for your personal, non-commercial use. Your Legacy Contact will not have access to your Personal Voice.
