This is a standalone display that was introduced in March 2022 and is the first monitor after the 2019 Pro Display XDR. This is the first lower-priced display option since the thunderbolt display was discontinued in 2016.

Firmware
The studio display runs IOS with the A13 chip, was equipped with the same version of IOS that was on the iPhone (15.4). Apple provide updates on a regular basis and the current firmware version is 16.4.
